The YMCA of Metro North and Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers have come together to support individuals of all abilities in leading active, healthy lives through participation in adaptive sports and recreational activities.
For the second year wheelchair basketball is launching at the Torigian Family YMCA in Peabody.  The league runs every Wednesday night from 6:00pm-7:30pm starting March 20th through April 24th.  Each week, participants will be guided through a brief learning session to get comfortable with the adaptive chairs provided by the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network.  After the intro participants are guided through drills and eventually participate in full-on games!
If you are a challenged athlete, or perhaps an able-bodied friend or family member interested in participating in adaptive sports, join us! Get into a provided court sport chair, to see how fun and challenging the game of wheel chair basketball can be!
