Q. What is the Where In The World event?
The Where In The World event is the YMCA’s annual fundraising gala – with a new twist! This year each guest is eligible to win a trip for two anywhere in the world for dinner, just for supporting the YMCA! All event tickets include 5 trip raffle entries and all guests have the opportunity to purchase additional raffle entries to increase their chances of winning.
100% of event proceeds will benefit the YMCA of Metro North youth scholarship fund which ensures that all children and families in our communities have access to YMCA programs and services regardless of their ability to pay.

Q. When and where is the event?
The event is on Saturday, September 23rd at the Torigian Family YMCA, 259 Lynnfield Street in Peabody. Self-service parking is available onsite as well as complimentary valet.

Q. What should I wear?
What would you wear out to dinner on a Caribbean island? How would you dress for a safari in Africa? What would be the perfect outfit while shopping in Paris? All answers are perfectly appropriate for our event! Guests are encouraged to dress as if they are on their dream vacation – the sky is the limit!

Q. What is the cost of a ticket?
Single event tickets are $75 and include 5 entries into the trip raffle. Two tickets purchased together are $100 and include 10 entries into the trip raffle. All tickets include event admission, cash bar, international food stations provided by local restaurants, live entertainment, silent auction and live auctions, raffles AND automatic entry into our drawing for a trip for two anywhere around the world for dinner! *Additional raffle entries can be purchased on our website in August to increase chances of winning the trip for two around the world.

Q. What is the timeline of the event?
7-8pm: Cocktails, raffles, silent auctions
8:00pm: International dinner stations
8:45pm: Program including live auctions
10:45: TRIP RAFFLE WINNER ANNOUNCED!

Q. Do I need to be present to win the trip around the world?
No.  The winning ticket will be pulled at the event at approximately 10:45pm. If not present, the winner will be notified the same night.

Q. What is included in the trip?
The trip around the world package is designed completely by the winner to ensure it is exactly the trip of their dreams! Destination, travel dates, hotel and restaurant choices are all subject to the winner’s preferences. All travel arrangements will be made and paid for our generous trip sponsor for the winner, up to a $10,000 value. (No cash value)

Q. Can I extend my trip beyond the $10,000 reimbursement?
Of course! Only $10,000 will be paid by our trip sponsor, but you are of course able to personally extend your trip.
