The YMCA of Metro North proudly hosted hundreds of gymnasts from across the region at the annual Fright Invite Gymnastics Meet, held November 7–8 at the Saugus Family YMCA Gymnastics Center. The two-day event brought together talented athletes, spirited team pride, and a festive atmosphere as teams competed in one of the area’s most anticipated fall meets.

The Metro North Twisters delivered an outstanding performance while serving as both hosts and competitors. The team captured multiple top finishes across levels, showcasing the strength and depth of the Twisters program:

  • Level 3 – 1st Place Team

  • Level 4 – 2nd Place Team

  • Level 6 – 1st Place Team

  • Level 8 – 2nd Place Team

  • Xcel Silver – 1st Place Team

  • Xcel Gold – 1st Place Team

  • Xcel Platinum – 2nd Place Team

  • Xcel Diamond – 1st Place Team

“We were honored to welcome so many athletes, families, and coaches to our Saugus gymnastics home,” said Jen Simbudhas, Competitive Gymnastics Coach for the YMCA of Metro North. “Watching our Twisters rise to the occasion—while showing incredible sportsmanship as hosts—made this weekend truly special. The Fright Invite Meet is one of several annual meets led by the YMCA of Metro North’s nationally recognized gymnastics program, which serves youth from beginner levels through competitive teams.
