The YMCA of Metro North is celebrating Super Bowl LX with two fun, community-powered fundraisers that bring together Patriots pride, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to helping kids access youth sports and educational programs.

As the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks head into the Super Bowl, the YMCA of Metro North is teaming up with the YMCA of Greater Seattle for Rivalry for Good, a friendly challenge designed to turn team loyalty into support for kids.

If Seattle wins, YMCA of Metro North leadership will decorate an entire branch in Seahawks gear and fundraise to send 11 kids to camp. If New England wins, Patriots pride takes center stage while the shared fundraising effort continues. Regardless of the final score, funds raised on both sides stay local and directly support kids in each YMCA’s community.

“We’re having a lot of fun with this,” said Kathleen Walsh, CEO of the YMCA of Metro North. “A little friendly rivalry, a lot of community spirit, and at the end of the day it all helps kids get access to sports and experiences they might not otherwise have. That’s a win no matter who takes home the trophy.”

Throughout Super Bowl week, YMCA of Metro North branches will be filled with team spirit, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for members and supporters to join in and help kids get in the game.

The excitement started with the YMCA of Metro North’s Super Bowl LX Raffle, which recently awarded an unforgettable experience to Greg Zoia, a Torigian Family YMCA member and lifelong Patriots fan. Greg and his son will attend Super Bowl LX on February 8 after Greg purchased a raffle ticket to support the YMCA’s scholarship fund.

“I bought a ticket to support the Y and never expected to win,” Zoia said. “Getting to go to the Super Bowl with my son is incredible, and knowing it helps other families experience the Y makes it even more meaningful.”

Proceeds from the raffle help ensure children and families across Metro North can access YMCA programs, from youth sports and camp to health and wellness opportunities.

From a coast-to-coast friendly rivalry to a once-in-a-lifetime Super Bowl experience, the YMCA of Metro North is using Super Bowl excitement to create lasting impact for kids and families. This season, the message is clear: when communities come together, kids win.
