Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what matters most—family, friendship, community, and the simple acts of kindness that make a lasting difference. At the YMCA of Metro North, we believe the true spirit of Thanksgiving is found not only in giving thanks for what we have, but in sharing what we can with others.
This November, we’re celebrating the season of gratitude by bringing our communities together through special events that provide warm clothing, nourishing meals, and support for local families. From Lynn to Saugus, our YMCA branches are helping neighbors care for neighbors and ensuring that the holiday season is filled with compassion, generosity, and connection.

At the YMCA of Metro North, giving back is not something we do only during the holidays. It is at the heart of our mission every day of the year.
Whether we are providing financial assistance so children can attend camp, supporting families through our food programs, helping seniors stay connected, or creating opportunities for young people to thrive, our work is made possible by people who believe in the power of community.
This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for our dedicated staff, generous donors, committed volunteers, community partners, and the thousands of members and families who make the YMCA such a special place.
Because when a community comes together, a warm coat becomes comfort, a meal becomes hope, and a simple act of kindness becomes something much greater.
