Y Champions Scholarship

The YMCA of Metro North is a diverse association of men, women, and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of youth, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility in our community. The YMCA of Metro North builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities by enriching the lives of all people in spirit, mind, and body.

The YMCA of Metro North, as a charitable community-based organization with a commitment to service, will utilize its staff, volunteers, and facilities to strengthen individuals, families, and our community by providing quality social, recreational, and educational experiences while promoting honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility to all members of the community.

The Y Champions Scholarship awards active Y members and employees who are high school seniors, in vocational training, or a current college student for displaying the YMCA values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility in their work to strengthen their community.

  • Applicant must be a graduating senior of an accredited public, private, parochial, vocational, or charter high school and must be accepted to an accredited institution of higher education or vocational training program OR currently enrolled and attending an institution of higher education or vocational training
