History

The YMCA of Metro North

The YMCA of Metro North was established in 2012 when the Greater Lynn YMCA, including the Saugus Family YMCA and Peabody/Lynnfield YMCA, merged with the Melrose Family YMCA to combine resources and better serve our communities. Our association now stands eight locations strong, including four summer camps and eight Y Academy preschool and after-school programs that serve the cities and towns of Lynn, Peabody, Saugus, Melrose, Stoneham, Revere, Nahant, Lynnfield, and neighboring communities.

Currently, the YMCA of Metro North serves over 69,000 people annually and, in 2022, provided approximately $1,600,000 in financial aid to more than 16,000 individuals and families in our communities.
