Youth and Teen Center Programs
The Youth Center program costs a $110 monthly fee for members and $135 for non-members. Our Youth Center is a welcoming space designed for youth in 3rd grade and above. At our center, kids can explore new interests, engage in enrichment activities, make friends, and participate in a variety of activities of their choice. Youth must possess a minimum level of independence to be part of the program.

Hours Monday-Friday 1:30 pm-5:30 pm
Youth Center Policy: Youth must possess a minimum level of independence to be part of the program.
- We offer an affordable, safe, and positive environment for youth while school is not in session.
- Your child will participate in organized activities, clubs, games, and craft projects.
- Youth are grouped according to grade level.
- Our staff goes through an intensive orientation period and background checks.
- All children have the opportunity to swim recreationally. Please send a bathing suit, towel, and swim cap.
With a Teen Membership for $25 Monthly (Ages 14-18), you get access to the Teen Center, where they can participate in daily programming to explore their interests and passions while spending time with friends.
Memberships for 7th and 8th Graders who live in the City of Lynn are free.
- All memberships must be redeemed at the Demakes Y, located at 40 Neptune Blvd.
- Adults must come into the Y to complete this paperwork and sign off on the code of conduct with their students.
- All applications must have at least 2 working numbers in the event an adult needs to be contacted.
Hot meals are served daily from 4:00pm-5:00pm. All Youth and Teen Center participants are eligible to receive a nutritious meal free of charge.
Registration: As a drop-in center, registration is on a first come first serve basis, we do not hold spaces, youth must be registered for all months of interest or ask if there is space available fifteen days prior for the upcoming month.
Closure Dates: The Youth Center is closed on holidays when schools are closed due to inclement weather and during a state/city weather emergency. The Youth Center is open during February and April School Vacation, separate registration and fee is required for these dates.
Staff Training:
- Staff attend orientation, onboarding training, and complete background checks
- Staff members are certified in First Aid & CPR
Recreational Swim: There is an opportunity for a recreational swim for children registered for the Youth Center Programs. Please send a bathing suit, towel, and swim cap on scheduled swim days.
