This Fall the YMCA of Metro North invites you to join in on one of  our family fun runs!  With race options including a 5k, two-person relay 6.5 miler, and a Half Marathon, there really is a race for everyone to train for this season.

The 2019 Road Race Series concludes on Saturday, October 26th with the Melrose Family YMCA Spooky Sprint 5k in downtown Melrose.  Costumes are highly recommended at this Halloween jaunt and, for the first time this year, Gameface media will be along the course capturing free photos participants can look back on for years to come.

One month later, on Saturday November 23rd, the Torigian Family YMCA will host the LiveSTRONG at the Y Half Marathon and Two-Person Relay in Peabody.  As the only Half Marathon in Peabody, this course begins and Lt. Ross Park and winds through Peabody’s rail trail and neighborhoods before ultimately looping back to the start line.

Both races this Fall will raise funds that go directly back into the communities the YMCA serves.  Proceeds from the Melrose Family YMCA Spooky Sprint 5k will support the Y’s annual campaign scholarship fund, which ensures no one is turned away for inability to pay.  The LiveSTRONG at the Y Half Marathon raises money to support the LiveSTRONG program at the Torigian Family YMCA.  LiveSTRONG is a program that helps cancer survivors get active after treatment.
