Marissa focuses on breaking down barriers for her clients by keeping things simple and doable, yet effective whether that is in nutrition or exercise. Marissa primarily works with women to help them set realistic goals, understand their bodies, and take measurable steps towards their goals. Strength training is a must! And fitness and nutrition are all about BALANCE.
After struggling with disordered eating and exercise habits that left her underweight and unwell, Marissa became determined to learn how to truly care for her body — not control it. That sparked her passion for nutrition and completely reshaped her relationship with food, movement, and strength.
Barre was her introduction to the fitness industry, but weightlifting is where she found her true passion. Strength training taught her how empowering it feels to build her body up rather than break it down — and that philosophy now guides the way she coaches others. When she’s not training, Marissa loves spending time with her family, cooking, and going for long walks.

I’ve always been very active whether I was taking part in cheering, gymnastics or through strength training. This is where my initial interest in personal training began. I have been teaching boot camp style classes since 2017. I would like to describe my teaching style as feasible but challenging. Regardless of a clients fitness level, I want everyone to leave my class feeling stronger not just physically but mentally as well. I have a bachelors degree in business management but my passion is in early education. I have worked in the non profit world as preschool director since 2019. When I’m not working I love to travel.

I believe fitness is about more than body composition. It’s about confidence, mental health, and building a body that supports your life. Training should be something you enjoy, and we’ll have fun along the way, but I’m also here to challenge you. I’ll push you when it matters, keep you accountable, and make sure every session moves you closer to real, lasting results.

My training style is intense, but versatile, meaning I can adjust to the needs of my client! When it comes to athletes, I believe in training at the speed of your sport. You can expect a rigorous training regimen with plenty of functional fitness, weightlifting, speed, agility, and sport- specific drills! I have a long history of playing varsity sports at a high level, (particularly football). I’m also a Middle School Health Teacher, Assistant High School Football Coach, and Amateur Filmmaker. I currently play Semi-Pro Football for the MetroWest Badgers. When I’m not playing football, I’m at the court playing pickup basketball!

I specialize in Strength and Conditioning and Sport Performance. Being a professional Personal Trainer is interesting and fun because you meet new people with different fitness goals. My goal is to help you achieve and unlock your fitness potential. The healthier you Look, The Better you Feel. Life becomes easier when you’re fit and healthy.

Ever since I’ve stepped foot into a gym I admired personal trainers. Working a job in the gym helping people hit their goals. I take education seriously, I went to AAPT because they produce some of the best trainers. Then I furthered my education at NSCC to become a licensed PTA in the state of Massachusetts. My passion is to help you however I can. I love being in the gym helping people and I can’t wait to help you next!

Addicted to improvement. I’ve always been passionate about fitness since I was younger, but it wasn’t until learning how to Box for self-defense that put me on my path of self-improvement. That eventually lead me to helping improve others, and I love it. I like to say I am purpose-driven as opposed to profit driven. Principals over profit; I want to help people because it actually gives me fulfillment in life, and it makes me feel like I have a purpose. Even though I started my own business and opened my own fitness studio, I like being at the Y because I also live in Lynn and it being a “Non-profit” organization aligned perfectly with my values. My favorite thing to do is to transform people into the best version of themselves.

I became a trainer through a natural transition from someone who always enjoyed the Gym and overall fitness to helping those to achieve their fitness and overall health goals. I’m an avid runner and triathlete I have run hundreds of local road races ranging for 5k to 50k and also completed The Ironman race. I’ve also been very involved in coaching Lynn girls softball for 15 years, and I also coached the Lynn Classical Girls track team for 7 great years.

I am deeply passionate about integrating customized functional fitness into both individual and group settings. I truly enjoy the journey shared between client and trainer, and I believe in the power of mindfulness to create a culture of conscious development. By fostering this mindset, I help clients enhance not only their physical strength but also their mental and emotional growth, creating lasting impact that resonates throughout all aspects of their lives. My focus is to guide people on their journey to elevate the mind-body connection and enhance the overall quality of their lives. I believe that physical wellness is a powerful gateway to spiritual awakening and personal transformation.

I help beginners feel confident with strength training through simple plans, holistic guidance, and steady motivation. I grew up in the gym with my mom, but I didn’t start weightlifting until college. I began inviting friends to join me, teaching them how to lift safely and, yes, lift heavy. Watching them get stronger and believe in themselves is what led me to coaching. My approach is straightforward: learn good form, build strength step by step, and stack small wins that add up. We’ll use everything the gym offers—machines, dumbbells, cables, and bodyweight—to discover what you enjoy while nudging you just a little outside your comfort zone. Along the way, you’ll get motivational support and holistic guidance, including nutrition coaching that fits real life. If you’re new to lifting or looking for balance in a busy season, I’ll meet you where you are with clear instruction, an encouraging environment, and a plan you can actually stick to so you build strength you feel in everyday life and a lasting love for lifting.
As a nutrition coach I teach clients basics of nutrition; macro/micronutrients, hydration, timing for weight loss or muscle gain. It’s also habit and behavior coaching, goal setting and accountability that might include portion control strategies, balanced meal templates, and pre/post workout fueling.

As your personal trainer, my goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and excited about moving your body! I am here to create a judgement-free, inclusive environment where everyone is respected, valued, and empowered. With a background as a former collegiate soccer player and years of experience as an athletic development coach, I understand what it takes to train with purpose, build sustainable habits, and stay motivated. One of my favorite parts of being a trainer is getting to know YOU! Whether we’re talking about your goals, your weekend, or just sharing a good laugh, I want you to feel seen, supported, and have fun along the way! No matter where you are in your fitness journey, I’m committed to helping you progress and succeed every step of the way.

My interest in fitness began when I started strength training during the pandemic. I saw the impact that strength training had on my own wellbeing (especially during stress), and decided to pursue this professionally at the YMCA. I enjoy working with clients as they discover – week by week – how the benefits of exercise intersect with activities of daily life. When a client tells me that they have more energy to run/bike with their kids, or that they feel stronger carrying bags/boxes, I know we are on the right track. A major part of my job as a trainer is finding creative (and workable) solutions to particular exercise/health goals. I consider logistical support (understanding the constraints of schedules, energy levels, family/work responsibilities, health considerations, etc.) very important..

I am a big fan of the Y, its mission, and being part of such an amazing community! I love being the healthiest version of myself and inspiring others to do the same. My passion lies in women’s health, strength training, mindset, and how our approach to fitness changes as we age. Pilates impacted my life so greatly, that I made a career change into full time teaching. I’m a Boston-qualified marathon runner, visual artist, and cat mom.

Jeff began personal training after a 43-year career in printing. He is a graduate of the National Personal Training Institute in Waltham and certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Jeff is also a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance. Jeff enjoys training people of all ages but especially wants to help older folks become healthier and happier in their life. He focuses on balance, flexibility, and strength. Jeff is very excited to be in a field where he can help people reach their personal goals. His love for training has made him an indispensable member of our LiveSTRONG team, and he has brought his skills to remote locations in the community.

Physical fitness has always been an important part of my life. With the demands of career, family responsibilities and other pursuits, fitness programs (even with the best of intentions) always found their way to the back burner. This changed dramatically a few years ago when I took a more disciplined and consistent approach to my fitness leading me to take on a personal trainer. I was very pleased with the results, so much so that I became a certified personal trainer.

My career at the YMCA began in 2016 instructing group fitness classes.
In 2022, I was promoted to the Health and Wellness Coordinator, which has been my favorite job to date! The health and wellness field suits my passion for movement that started with team sports like softball, gymnastics and soccer. My sports background led me to pursue a degree at Salem State University in Exercise Science. While achieving my bachelor’s degree, I competed nationally on their cheerleading team. Nowadays, my extracurricular activities look a bit different and include weightlifting, walking with friends, chasing after two children and having dance parties. It excites me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for fitness in both one-on-one and group settings.
I truly love educating and motivating others to lead a healthy lifestyle.

It’s hard to know where to begin your workout journey in the weight room. But I am here to help you! I enjoy working with clients to help them reach their individual goals while becoming happier and healthier in the process. My favorite workouts are built around weightlifting programs and progressive overload. This will not only improve overall strength in the gym but also throughout everyday activities.

My personal training journey began in 2024, when I decided I wanted to turn my passion for health, wellness, and fitness into a career. Former collegiate basketball player, and youth coach, I have always had passion for competing in sports, and pushing myself to become stronger alongside others. As a personal trainer I aspire to bring the best out in my peers, be a positive influence and a supportive presence in others’ lives. Wherever you are on your health journey, I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals. I have a strong belief that with the right plan and the right effort, any goal can be reached. It is my goal to help others break the boundaries before them and achieve more than they believe they are capable of physically. No matter your age, ability, or goal, I would love the opportunity to work with you!

I began my fitness journey three years ago when I made the decision to take control of my health—and it completely transformed my life. What started as a physical goal quickly became so much more. Fitness isn’t just about building strength or changing the way you look; it’s about gaining energy, confidence, and mental clarity while reducing stress, pain, and limitations in your daily life.
After experiencing the life-changing benefits of training firsthand, I became a certified personal trainer to help others achieve their own goals. My background as a high-level athlete gives me the tools to push both myself and my clients beyond limits, while my studies in nutrition allow me to guide people toward healthy, sustainable eating habits. My mission is to help you create balance—inside and out. With the right training and nutrition, you can build not only a stronger body, but also a stronger mind and lifestyle.
