The Torigian Family YMCA hosted its donors and community supporters for an Appreciation BBQ on Thursday, August 18. Guests enjoyed a special camp song performance from the “Chipmunks” group of Camp Eastman campers, ages 4-5. The Chipmunks also made friendship bracelets that they gave to each guest as a token of the Y’s appreciation.

“We’re lucky to have the support of such a strong community,” said Tyler Fleming, Branch Executive Director. “We were happy to have the opportunity to thank everyone for their generosity. Our donors and supporters make it possible for us to make the biggest impact on the people that we serve.”

Mayor Ted Bettencourt was in attendance, as well many local business leaders and representatives from State Representative Tom Walsh and State Senator Joan Lovely’s office

The Torigian Family YMCA has hosted 10 weeks of camp to date, providing kids with the opportunity to learn new skills, be active, make new friends and build confidence. They have had a summer full of enriching experiences as part of the Y’s mission to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
