The YMCA of Metro North invites volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to make a difference in our community. Volunteers play a vital role in strengthening our programs, supporting individuals, and creating opportunities for all. From coaching youth sports and sharing stories with preschoolers to supporting cancer survivors on their journey to wellness, every act of kindness creates a ripple effect of good.

We offer diverse, engaging roles across our five communities. No matter your passion, there is a way to help!
- Garden & Outdoor Sustainability: Connect with nature at our Rooftop Garden in Lynn or help with the Y Academy garden in Peabody.
- Community Events: Assist with community favorites like our annual Road Races or set up and manage fun activities like Trunk-or-Treat.
- Youth & Teen Support: Volunteer in our Child Watch area, reading books to preschoolers, or become a role model in our Teen Center.
- Maintain Our Facilities: Help keep our buildings welcoming and safe by assisting with light cleaning and small maintenance tasks.
- Adaptive Programs: Make a sure everyone has a chance to play, grow, and thrive on the court, in the pool, or on the fitness floor.
