The Torigian Family YMCA proudly celebrated a sold-out Livestrong at the Y Half Marathon & 5K, bringing hundreds of runners, walkers, and supporters together for an inspiring community event. The race raised essential funds for the Livestrong at the YMCA cancer survivor program and the BeStrong program. Livestrong at the Y is a free, 12-week, evidence-based wellness program that helps adult cancer survivors rebuild strength, regain confidence, and improve their overall well-being after treatment. Our BeStrong program helps participants maintain their connections after the 12-week program concludes.

“This race is such a powerful reminder of what community can do,” said Cara Green, Executive Director of the Torigian Family YMCA. “Every person who showed up—runners, donors, volunteers, and families honoring loved ones—helped ensure survivors have the support, strength training, and connection they need during and after treatment.”

The course was lined with heartfelt tribute signs, honoring survivors, remembering loved ones, and lifting families currently facing cancer. Proceeds from registrations, sponsorships, and tribute signs directly support free, year-round cancer survivor wellness programming at the Torigian Family YMCA.
