YMCA of Metro North President and Chief Executive Officer Kathleen Walsh is pleased to announce the appointment of communications and marketing specialist Sandy St. Louis to serve as the charitable nonprofit organization’s Senior Director of Marketing and Membership. St. Louis comes to YMCA of Metro North with more than two decades of experience in communications, including at WGBH with the PBS news and public affairs series Frontline and most recently at the nonprofit consultancy Third Sector New England that works with dozens of nonprofits across the country.

“This is an exciting time for the YMCA of Metro North as we expand our facilities and grow our programming to continue to have a positive impact on the people and communities we serve. Sandy is a key part in this expansion to help us create awareness strategies that engage our members and stakeholders in the vital work that we do,” said Walsh.

St. Louis will lead YMCA of Metro North marketing, communications and public relations efforts, which includes responsibility for membership engagement, branding, events strategy, creative and design services, branch relations and market and media research.

“I could not be more thrilled to work at the YMCA of Metro North and connect with the thousands of members and supporters who care deeply about this incredible organization,” St. Louis said. “I was a member of the YMCA and a donor and now I am also working every day on the team. This is an exciting chapter for me in my career with an organization doing amazing work in our communities.”

St. Louis received her Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Heinz College of Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in communications from Connecticut State University. She lives in Beverly, Mass.
