Active Older Adults
Keep Moving and Motivated with the Y!
Physical activity is essential in maintaining a higher quality of life and independence among seniors. From water exercise to stay fit to walking club, the Y offers programs for active older adults to get moving and stay healthy. Regular exercise provides many practical benefits, including reducing the risk of diseases and conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, coronary artery disease and high blood pressure. Stronger muscles, better balance and coordination, and higher energy levels all work together to maintain or improve basic living skills. Seniors can gain strength and flexibility, get active, and have fun by joining programs and classes at the Y.
